Lowe Wines will host its annual ‘Ninja @ Tinja’ dinner at their Mudgee winery on Saturday the 2nd of November.
The Japanese inspired dinner, now in its third year, continues to build on the unique list of events at Lowe’s vineyard and winery on Tinja Road.
“When I returned from the sales trip to Tokyo a few years ago, I had a carefully constructed plan for this type of dinner. It comprised a few illegible words on a paper napkin that I’d scribbled down after a tasting with the team at Nishi Gonpachi,” mused David Lowe.

This somehow evolved with a call to the chefs at Masuya Restaurant who were very keen to bring their Japanese Barbeque to the winery and take over for the night. ”
“This is one of the most exciting and unusual events we host at the winery. We’re having a great time with the crew from the Japanese Restaurant Masuya.”
The dinner explores the synergies between Lowe Wines, with delicacy as the focus, and the detail and complexity of Japanese food. “Masuya is one of the country’s best Japanese Restaurants, and it’s truly an honour to hand the winery over to them for the night.”
The night will showcase a range of Lowe wines including the new Japanese friendly 2013 Lowe Nullo Mountain Riesling, 2012 Lowe Nullo Mountain Sauvignon Blanc, 2011 Lowe Mudgee Blue and the yet to be released flagship 2010 Lowe Zinfandel.
Along with Sake, these wines will be matched to the Japanese dishes including such dishes as Sushi, Sashimi Kingfish Carpachio and Teppanyaki, all created in the winery, in front of the guests on a special Japanese Barbeque.
